Clair received this princess shirt today from her good friend. It is huge but darling and makes me want to take her to Disneyland so bad!
I am so proud of her. She just sewed this little bag to put her colored pencils in! I have been sewing some finger puppets and normally I give her some fabric and needle and let her stick it in where ever until she makes a big crazy ball of tangled yarn and fabric. She calls this creation a "catcher." This time I decided to try to help her really sew something. I folded the fabric and drew dots down one side then dots between the other dots on the other side of the fabric... does that make sense?
She then stuck the needle in one dot then turned the fabric over, pulled the needle through and stuck it in the next dot all the way down. Her fingers got kind of tired so I had Caleb help me stick the needle in the other side to finish it off. We then flipped it inside out and wa-la a pocket for Clair to fill with whatever she wants.
And now she will be busy for the next hour coloring... when did she get so grown up?
