Jason and I went to a very nice banquet held at a fancy restaurant downtown. It was a dinner to honor students in the University of Houston Optometry School's program. A teacher had pulled Jason aside the week before and told him that he should be there. So we fancied ourselves up and enjoyed a nice evening out.
It is actually our first outing like this. It was so much fun to mingle with all of Jason's classmates and feel so fancy. And the food was amazing!
Jason was awarded the $600 "Nelson Reber Eye Open Award." I am not sure where the names comes from but you can only get it if your GPA is above a certain percentile, you are involved in activities inside the program and have been apart of service outside of school. I am very proud of my Jason!
At our table we sat with some of Jason's classmates and their boyfriends. They went on and on about how they nicknamed Jason "superman." I completely agree with them. Jason is my superman. I am so grateful for him and our friendship and marriage. I am so grateful to be sealed to him for time and all eternity!
