Jason came home and was met with a sign on the door...
When he went to shower and clean up from his bike ride home from work he also found an instruction sheet for the race with his "race bib" #27
(just in case you didn't know... Jason is super into racing. Lately it has been Spartan Races- super intense obstacle races. He has one coming up this weekend)
Here are our before the race pictures!
The race started with dinner. Jason's favorite- His mom's baked macaroni and cheese with ham and a spinach salad.
We did the next part individually and then again all together. Here is Jason doing his run.
"GO DADDY!"
The Wibble Wabble
The Tunnel of Doom
(mostly the tunnel of doom for mom and dad... Clair and Caleb zoomed through it no problem. We on the other hand got kinda stuck)
The Ball Toss
Climbing the Mountain
Playing a Tune on the Piano
Building an airplane
Crossing the Finish Line!
Jason's traditional birthday cake- Angle Food Cake with strawberries and whipped cream. Clair and Caleb requested a bowl with just whipped cream :)
One of the gifts we gave Jason was a kite. It was from the dollar store so it won't last long but the memory of postponing bed time to go fly it at the park will.
Happy Birthday Daddy!

Oh, I saw this post and marveled at it, but now realize I forgot to comment on HOW AMAZING you are Jill! You are talentedly (I know that's not a word) creative and some people are creative, but not in a way I think is good (I'll just put it that way). You have it down!!! I'll need to start praying to develop the "creative type of gift that Jill has!" Oh, and Jason too--I know he's very talentedly creative as well :)
