Labor Day

Happy Labor Day!

We woke up and Jason went running to start his goal of running 100 miles before September 16th.
I went to work on cleaning our wonderful apartment.
We were expecting Julie and Nathan for breakfast and I wanted it to be clean and done so I didn't have to worry about it the rest of our holiday.  The kids were sleeping in unusually late and I wondered if they were okay.  I heard a little happy giggle just after 8am and decided to peek in and see if they were okay.  As I opened the door I was met by Clair saying, "Mom, look, we're awake!"
And not only awake but both happily looking over the side of the crib with all of Clair's bedding in with Caleb.

Julie and Nathan made it and we enjoyed our Texas waffles.  We then headed to the park to slack line, throw balls, and try playing a game of Wiffle ball.  Next time we will invite more people.  Trying to play a game of ball with four adults and three babies didn't work out as planned.  But it was still super fun to be together.

After that Caleb and I enjoyed a nap while Dad and Clair took advantage of the pool.

Jason then took us downtown and found a glass elevator in a hotel that would let us go up to the 30th floor and watch as the ground dropped out beneath us.  It went so fast my ears had a hard time adjusting.  Clair and Caleb loved it.

Our holiday ended with a BBQ with our friends and neighbors Bruce and Katie.

We are sure grateful for all who work and have worked in America to make our Country a place where we can live so comfortably.
