Small moments

We have been trying really hard to stay busy and so the days will pass without too many breakdowns while Jason is gone a lot with school and studying

Mornings are great.  We usually have lots planned between library days, play dates, and exercising.  The afternoons are another story.  Especially since Clair is not napping anymore.  She gets tired and cranky if we don't have things going on.  So our afternoon activities have been getting better... still working on it :)

Sensory Box: This day was dirt... probably needed different dirt than potting soil.  It didn't get wet well and then was really hard to clean up.  Caleb liked it for the most part, until he tried to eat some.  Other sensory activities have been: beans, rice, water and bubbles.

Art Activity: We love art projects.  Here is when we tried colored ice to color with.  They loved it and it was even better when they found out they could eat it.  The only thing I didn't think about was that food coloring stains... so next time we'll do it with different clothes and have plain ice to chew on.

Imaginary Play:  This one is something I am really trying hard at.  I get a little board after a while but I know it is important.  The favorites so far are store and doctor.

Here are Clair and Caleb playing store.  Clair lining up her items for us to beep and then put in the bag.  Caleb's favorite part was putting the money in the pretend cash register (the wipe warmer).
Now that we live close to the school we would like to go enjoy lunch with Dad more often.  Here is Caleb enjoying a cupcake at a little birthday lunch we had with some of our friends on their lunch break.

One thing I love about our new apartment is our privacy porch connected to our kitchen.  I can leave the door open, fill up the swimming pool, and fix dinner while the kids play.  LOVE LOVE IT!

Lately we have been up to visit Childs (Julie's In-Laws).  Julie and Nathan are moving and so we have been taking every advantage to spend time with them.

This morning we ran to the park a mile from our house.  The kids played in the sand while I did some stretches.
And look at this... my hair gets curly when I sweat and I am in humidity :)
Right now we are really enjoying the small things.  Heavenly Father is so good to us!
