My mister helper man. He was determined to snack before dinner... so I told him if he was going to snack, he needed to be productive while doing it. So here he is helping me put together Mom and Dad's salads. His favorite part was shredding the cheese... especially when he got a big bite out of the block before I could stop him.
Today was a very busy day. We started by driving back to where we use to live to visit our friends (about a 30 minute drive). Clair and Leslie loved holding hands while we walked to the park and then going through the dress-ups together at the house. I had such a nice visit with Kim too. I am glad for good friends! Clair gave me a little scare when she tripped on a dress she was wearing and almost went rolling down the stairs. She luckily caught her arm in the metal railing and stopped herself. It scared her really bad and gave her a big bruise on her cheek where she hit the railing. She is okay now.
Both Caleb and Clair fell asleep on our drive home. It was amazing to get them into their beds from the car and stop and realize I had two to three good hours of time all to myself. So I made myself do a little cleaning so I wouldn't regret it later then I crafted while I watched a random movie. It was so much fun. The craft I worked on was making paper dolls for Clair and Caleb to play with at Church as a file folder game. (www.makingfriends.com)
Later a friend text and said her and another friend were getting together to swim at their pool with their little girls. So when Caleb woke up he helped me get our things together, wake up Clair and away we went again. It is good to have busy days I am deciding. Clair and Caleb are getting old enough that our little apartment gets boring after awhile and they need other interactions besides mom.
Jason is working so hard. We are so proud of him. He is in middle of his first test week for his second year of optometry school. It has been difficult I think. Jason says it is going fine though. I don't know how he does it! Studies ALL day long to take one test then go at it again the next day. We are so grateful for him. Yesterday he wreaked his bike on the way home. Caught his finger on a bridge he was crossing as he tried to make room for another biker. His finger is all swollen and painful. We are both glad it wasn't worse. God is watching out for us!
