Pure Yummyness

So I finally had a random craving... we finished our dinner and suddenly I wanted cornbread really really bad. Jason had just gone out to lunch with his co-workers at a restaurant that he says has the best cornbread he has ever tasted... so my sweet and thoughtful man called them up and ordered me cornbread. It was pretty amazing! I think the black dots are poppyseed but I'm not sure. After picking up the cornbread we drove by our bishop's house. He has a loaded lemon tree in his front yard that he invites anyone who wants to come and pick from. We helped ourselves and picked a bag full. We came home and juiced a couple to make yummy homemade lemonade. The smell is just amazing. Like being emerged in the candy lemon heads.

This is a random picture and it is horrible because of the lighting and the angle in the bathtub but I had this idea and it worked so well I just had to share it. I have wanted to decorate the bathtub with all those cute wall stickies you see int the store. I decided to make my own. I got plastic sheet protectors and drew on them with permanent sharpie markers. I then cut them out got them a little wet and wa-la they stick to the bathtub perfectly. Jason thought I had drawn right on the tub with marker! This picture is of the five little frog song that I found on-line then traced. I would like to get colored permanent marker and color the pictures. Clair loves playing with them! One downfall is when they get wrinkled they don't stick to the side of the tub... so don't get too attached if you are going to allow your child to play with them :)

I love the frogs! That is soooo cute! What a good idea! I love that you are sharing all these frugal ideas, so up my alley :) Speaking of that, I'm not sure if you have a cornbread recipe but Scott's mom has one that is amazing! I'm actually making some tonight to go with our yummy chilli. So here's the recipe: 1 c. of yellow cornmeal, 1 c. flour, 2T sugar, 4t baking powder, 1/2t salt, 1c milk, 1/4c oil, 1 egg. That fits into a 8x8 or 9x9 pan. Blend all the ingredient for 20 seconds and then beat vigorously for 1 min. Pour into a greased pan and bake at 425 for 20-25 min. If you want to do a 9x13 pan then double the ingredients and cook for 5-10 extra minutes and at 375. :D

Jill I didn't know you were so artistic!! That's so awesome! I seriously think that it is so much fun to realize that you can make things at home instead of buying them at the store, and I think you feel the same way! It's so great :) We're such home makers!

Let us know if you figure out how to make marshmallows

Oh I actually have a cousin who makes homemade marshmallows. I will ask her and get back to you! Also, I was wondering if Jason knew where to buy those chocolate cigars that they give to the guys when their wives have babies. Trev said they did that in the 51st ward and I want to get him one as a little surprise present when Sophie is born.
