The Marsh Estuary

our saturday was spent exploring a marsh estuary called the San Francisco Bay-Delta Estuary (estuaries are bodies of water usually found where rivers meet the sea). Wow, it was really different from anything we'd ever explored before. The fog was crazy thick but we decided it made it feel even cooler.

things we learned:
- this estuary is one of the largest estuaries of the west coast
- it encompasses roughly 1,600 square miles
- provides drinking water to 22 million californians
- irrigates 4.5 million acres of farmland

it was pretty cool and was so much fun just to stop and listen and hear all the animals that live there.
