New YorK

The first full week of living in DC area we decided to take advantage of a nice break Jason had before he started work.  So we drove to New York, New York, well actually we drove to New Jersey then bused into New York.

On the way we stopped in Trenton and walked to the Delaware River where George Washington crossed for his famous battle.

We started our New York adventures out by going to Times Square at night.  This made me very nervous.  I am defiantly not a big city girl and all the buildings, traffic, noise, people... it was all a little much.  I was so grateful to be going with Jason's sister and her husband because we were each able to take a child.

Jack was mesmerized with all the lights.  He couldn't arch his head back enough to see everything.  I was stopped a couple times by random people ooing and awing over the kids.

The next day we went to central park.  I wish we could have had all day to explore this place.  It was such perfect weather too.  Clair and Caleb loved not being strapped to their strollers or having to hold a hand.  FREEDOM!

and of course we had to get hot dogs! :)

The metro in New York was not as good as the one in DC.  LOTS of stairs!  And with three strollers it made it really exciting.  We got it down where Dusty would take one stroller and carry child and all up and down the stairs.  Ana and I would take the stroller handles and Jason would take the bottom front of the strollers we would then take up the whole stairway.  The kids loved it!

Statue of Liberty!!!!  It was so worth going to the island to see it up close.

Clair took this picture of us :)  She is such a cute photographer!

Pizza under the Brooklyn Bridge, YES PLEASE!  It was surprisingly amazing.  I say surprisingly because the crust was really thin and it didn't have hardly any toppings.  But then we tried it... the crust was just the right thickness and doneness and the cheese was from fresh mozzarella... it was really good.

We then walked to the first pillar of the Brooklyn Bridge.  By then we were very worn out from an entire day of walking and we were not prepared for the cold wind. But again, it was so worth it!

We are so cute :)

This was a super fun trip!
