We are finally settling in enough for me to have some time to blog, yeah! But then I couldn't find the cord to the camera to share the pictures that I really wanted to put on here. So here is a quick hello to updating what we have been up to the last couple weeks.
Fist, we moved! We are now close to Washington DC. So far we are loving it!
The Saturday before we left Houston the kids decided we had to take advantage of the pool. It was way too cold in my opinion but they enjoyed it! I loved our apartment and it was awesome to have the pool literally out our front door.
We drove our van with a trailer on the back with select items to move with us. We are starting Jason's rotations. (We have four months in three areas and then he will graduate!)
We were amazed to enter a place with beautiful green trees and hills along the road.
Jack had a hard time understanding why his cute smiles and gurgles wasn't getting him out of his seat. Luckily he had started eating a little bit of baby food so he sucked on teething crackers and soft puffs when he was board of throwing his toys out of reach.
Clair and Caleb did AMAZING!!! Most of the time they sat and talked. I had a bag of random activities (listened to stories on tape, played with toys like dinosaurs in eggs, barbies with dresses, cheerios and shoe laces, coloring book, etc.) This picture was towards the end when sitting was starting to get a little boring and so we brought out the I-pad for a movie time.
When we pulled up to our new home we were tired; but felt very very blessed. Somehow we were able to make it faster then we had thought. We had also been allowed to sleep in our apartment that night instead of finding a hotel. So we put the kids to sleep and unloaded the truck. Huge tender mercy!
Somehow, well I know how :) Heavenly Father was looking out for us! We were lucky to move into a basement apartment that had a walkout porch. Our next door neighbors are members with two little girls. It has been instant friends. It has been an amazing experience.
Another fun thing is Jason's sister and husband moved for a short internship too. They are a couple hours away from us. They came up the weekend we moved in and we all went and toured DC a little bit then took a trip to New York before we all started real life again.
Here is another picture of our awesome back porch.
Jason had a birthday, Jack was trying so hard to get the balloons but isn't quite able to move yet :)
Our beautiful lady liberty and happy tourists. We are so excited for our adventure, so stay tuned and i will work hard to keep this up to date :)

Welcome to the East Coast! DC is such a pretty area, with so much to see and do, and history is everywhere you look. We're up in Philly but go to the DC temple, so we've spent a bit of time down that way. Good luck with getting settled into your new place!
