It has been amazing to me this last week at Caleb's random requests for a banana. We don't have bananas... and so for him to request it out of the blue makes me realize, again, how grown up he is getting. Last night Jason made a late night run to the grocery store and brought home the most delicious bananas. He was so sweet! Caleb could hardly contain his excitement when he saw them this morning. "BANANA!?!" He ended up eating the whole bunch (except two- I ate one and one I hid for tomorrow). Bananas seem to be liked and then not... I guess they are in at our house right now :)
I have had an organization idea for the dress-ups. A box to put odds and ends in with two posts coming up the side connected with a dowel at the top to hang the clothes on. It was a "one day in the future" dream because we don't have the tools to build something like that. Jason mentioned it to a friend in our ward and he got really excited about it. He asked me more details and before I really thought about it he had it finished and brought it over. I wish I had thought more about it... measurement wise. Our friend is kinda tall and I don't think he realized I wanted it for the kids. Haha oh well. It looks great.
We had left it outside last night to dry from the coat of stain he had put on it. I think I was a little too excited to have it put in the kids room. When I started dragging it across the kitchen floor it left a nice long dark stain of brown!!!! AHHHH!!! I quickly grabbed a rag and dish soap but it didn't even pretend to come off. So I googled it. What would we do without google? It said to use bleach...? I actually don't have bleach but I do have a *MAGIC ERASER* To my complete surprise it really worked. Came off so easily. I am so grateful!
Here is a picture of the kids room now rearranged and with the new dress-up holder. (I jimmy-rigged it so that there is a post half way down for easy reach, a curtain across the top so it doesn't look like I added a rod in the middle, and blankets stuffed in the box to make toys easier to get to). Overall I think it will do just great. I moved the room around quite a bit. It looks good but it made a lot less playing room so we will see if it stays that way :)

This is SOOO cute, I love it! I definitely understand having the rack close to their reach, I've always wanted a rack that size too, but didn't know how to store the odds-and-ends objects like purses or a cane or something. SUCH a cute idea! And, I love how you have their room arranged :)
