We are back in Houston for our last rotation of fourth year optometry school! The hardest part about this last year and probably this year to come has been the packing moving and unpacking. So far living in the different places and meeting new people has been a wonderful experience.
This move I decided why the moving part is so hard...
1. I have to say good-bye. I would rather just sneak away. I get so sentimental and it just hurts to have so many wonderful moments with friends who have become so dear and to know that has to end.
2. The mess. I really struggle when things are messy. I have learned to let toys go until 4:00 or even 5:00 but by that time I have started a "garbage pick-up" for anything left out. Living while packing and moving, there is no easy clean-up. And it is so hard to focus on packing when my children are needing me.
So I will be honest, I am SO excited to be done moving for a while :) but until then, here is the fun part...
New Apartments! New places to organize and decorate. We feel blessed enormously, again, for the answers to our prayers in finding a short term lease, in our budget, and that will fit our family's needs. So here is our apartment for the next four months:
I absolutely love that this apartment has such a good roomy kitchen.
The little room wouldn't fit the beds very well so we turned it into the playroom. This has actually been great. Jack can nap and we can still get to the toys.
We put all our beds in one room. We have been living that way for a while so it wasn't a big deal for us. The kids are heavy sleepers so those who wake up randomly don't wake up the others.
And our living room is painted such a happy yellow with high ceilings so the little apartment feels really roomy.
Yeah for a new apartment and a new year
