Just Ask the Question

So in the master bathroom there is a hook on the back of the door that I have started hanging a bathrobe on.  Lately the bathrobe has been falling on the floor mysteriously... The last couple days I have noticed it more and more on the floor and it has gotten me puzzled.  The hook is very sturdy, hasn't moved at all and there is a built in strap on the bathrobe specifically to be hung on this very sturdy hook.  Today I noticed the bathrobe on the floor when I woke up.  I put it back up and went about the day.  Tonight it was on the floor again!  Then I had the thought- Jason?  Why would Jason keep knocking it off?  How would he randomly knock it off and not notice it on the floor?  There is always these moments where I have two choices.  I can accuse him and silently get upset or I can just ask him the question.  I just asked :)  and come to find out he has purposely been taking it off the hook and laying it across the bottom of the door so that when I am still sleeping in the morning the light doesn't bother me! Oh my wonderful thoughtful husband!

I love my Jason and I am so grateful for this lesson.  It is ALWAYS better to just ask!

This is a great reminder, Jill. Too often I find myself jumping to an accusation, when, like you said, things are done purposefully and thoughtfully for OUR benefit.

What an awesome post! It's so easy to jump to conclusions! Thanks for sharing! By the way I love that you guys take nice family photos every year! I showed McKay and told him that that is now our tradition too! It's amazing how fast your family grows!
