Happenings in November:
Clair's Birthday Party
CINDERELLA THEME
We started the party with Jason telling an animated version of Cinderella. He did a really good job because all the girls were on the edge of their seats and their faces went from dreamy expressions to gasps of surprise to fear to happiness with hand clapping to finish it off.
Then we turned them all into Cinderellas. I had made a simple apron for each girl using $.99 bandanas from Hoby Loby. (hopefully a post on how I did this to follow soon). One side of the apron was the simple color of the bandana with a pocket and a little mouse peeking out of the pocket.
We then gave them brooms made from felt and fly swatters. We told them to get to work cleaning up as we dummped a couple bags of pre-blown up balloons all over the living room. They then "swept" the balloons into baskets and boxes. We had the "cat" (me) come and knock all the balloons out and they had to start all over.
After all the balloons were cleaned up we congradultaed them on a job well done and told them they could then go to the ball... but goodness, not in a dress like that... so we helped them flip their aprons around to the sparkley Cinderella gown side.
We turned on music and let them pretend to be at the ball and dance around in their fancy dresses. Jason would stop the music every once in a while and we had found a clock sound to announce midnight. The girls then ran to their carrages (drawn pumkins with wheels on 12x12 pieces of paper) scattered on the floor. When everyone made it to their carriage the music would start and they would dance again- it was kind of like musical chairs
We had all of the girls put their shoes in a basket as they came in and when they were done playing musical carriages I pulled the basket over. We pulled out a pair of shoes and asked "Who fits this slipper?" the girl it belonged to came and tried it on. It was so cute to watch ALL of them get so excited each time the shoe fit the person.
They were then allowed to enter the fancy banquet. I am sad we didnt' get a good picture of the back porch. Jason had done an amazing job of putting our Christmas lights criss-cross along the top of the girls. It made it feel like a fairy garden.
We sang to Clair and she blew out her candle. Her request for the treat was pink or purple icecream. All the girls were very pleased with this choice! And it was nice not to worry about a cake.
Here are the beautiful princesses
We also enjoyed a trip to the drive in. It was quite a drive from our house but so worth it... until the next morning :)
Clair fell asleep after the first movie, "Wreck'n Ralph." She stayed asleep until five the next morning. Caleb surprised us and stayed awake through the second show, "Hotel Transylvania" and almost all the way home. He still woke up at five with Clair the next morning.
Jason tried a new running shirt on Sir. Caleb- Ta-da!
Here is Clair's real birthday skype party with the family.
she received dress-up dresses and princess dolls from grandparents and felt so lucky!
Daddy and Caleb made her requested Cinderella cupcakes- blue cake, blue frosting, blue sprinkles.
Thanksgiving we did at our home with friends.
Jason was amazing and did a perfect job with the turkey!
And cooking and carving it!
Our Happy Girl- 3 years old!
We got a new front seat for the bike and had to try it out. So we drove to George Bush Park and went for a nice ride. It was a perfect day and we enjoyed being together with no agenda.
Jason experimented and made some artisan bread! It was amazing!
Well that is our month in a nutshell.

Cute, cute Cinderella Party!! I love it! I may be using a few of your ideas in a couple of years. :)
Cute post! Your kiddos are so beautiful. My little girl recently loves to sing, "Tell Me the Stories of Jesus," and it always reminds me of when you taught that song to our tiny primary in Rexburg. :)
Jill, you are such an awesome mom. I love this! I can't believe you have a three year old. That's so crazy to me. But what a fun party. You're so creative. Your kids are super lucky. :)
Oh and Jason's awesome too. :)
