Saturday- the start of Our Halloween Holiday!

There is a wonderful neighborhood just down the street from us.  When we go running in the morning this is usually where we end up to play until the kids get hungry for lunch.

We met a new friend there the other day who told us about a halloween party the neighborhood was having.  So we went with our friend and enjoyed ourselves so much!
(side note: notice how our noses are pink and we have long selves on!!! it is getting cold!)

Clair is wanting to be Cinderella so bad for Halloween and she has been asking that Caleb be the prince.  We've had a lot going on this last week so I wasn't able to finish the costumes so I scrounged around and found everything for this idea- Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach

Caleb helped me sew his M to the winter hat by sitting on my lap and watching.  Clair pushed the reverse button on the sewing machine for her crown.  They wouldn't keep them on at the park but they still turned out cute.  Caleb went crazy with the black think on his binki but again it was worth the effort.  I did have a hat and mustache for myself but none of the other parents were dressed up so I left them in the stroller.

Here are the kids and their friend, who was a punk rocker :), they are scooping out little ducks and then they got to choose a prize from the bowl.

Caleb loved his stick... of all the fun activities to do his favorite was walking with a stick.

They also let you take home a pumpkin.  The pumpkins were donated from someone.  Clair and Caleb have loved rolling them around and putting stickers all over them!

That afternoon we went to Buffy's house and made mason jar lanterns.  We put special glue on the jar then tissue paper.  Buffy had little light up tea candles that go inside.  So cute! and so easy!

woops, sorry it is blurry.

We ended the day with Friends over for a spooky Scoobie Doo movie and popcorn.

And my Jason!!! :)  He loves me.  Sent me flowers!  The pink ones in the middle are from His and Clair's date the other ones I had to put into two jars because they wouldn't fit in one.

Yep, a great saturday to start the Halloween Week :)
