Wonderful Life

I really do have a wonderful life. And here is what it is filled with...

I have been using Dora time as a quick break for me to get ready for the day or study my scriptures. One morning I laid both kids down to change their diapers during Dora. I left to wash my hands and I came back to find both of them laying in the same position and both sucking on their hands. Cute!
It rained! And when it rained it rained really really hard. It happened to be the same time Jason went on a quick run to the grocery store. And it just happened to rain when he decided to go with the stroller and both kids. Ha, ha they were so wet. Jason had droplets coming off his nose. Clair loved it and little Caleb fell right to sleep. I don't know if you can see it, but there is a nice little puddle of water down by Caleb's feet.
Great Grandma Larson sent Clair a beautiful piano book of Children's songs that are illustrated with pictures from the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Clair loves it. We turned on the CD that comes with it and danced around. She loves turning the pages and looking for all the animals.
My sister had a birthday, shout HURRAY! It is so fun to be close to her. We surprised her for a birthday breakfast of cheesy waffles, bacon, and scrambled eggs, yum! Caleb really liked the candle.
We stayed for church and a birthday dinner at her in-laws. Here is the gift I made for her. An apron out of a button up shirt. I added the flowers to make it more girly. I got the idea from here: Shirt ApronGrandma sent us a package. Clair loved it. Here is Clair trying on a monkey costume she found in the box. She didn't want a picture but I took one anyway.

Caleb enjoyed the monkey costume too. Here he is scooting on his back to get to the mask.
And, I don't know how this happened... one minute he was laying by me on the blankets on the bottom right corner of the picture then he was over against the desk swiping at the cord hanging down. Wow, I was really impressed. (notice he still has the mask)
This is grandma's box after Clair went through it :) It was a lot of fun.
Here is my new busy book. It is called "Let's Sing" I am making it for Clair's birthday next month.
this page is "The Wheels on the Bus" You can turn the buttons wheels, the ribbon wipers swipe back and forth, the light folds out and in to go on and off. And the people come out of the bus to sing with.
5 little monkeys jumping on the bed. the bed covers make a pocket that the monkey are stored in. The phone piece comes off and so you can call the doctor.
This is the "old lady who swallowed a fly" Clair was so funny with this page because she got really excited to sing it and wanted to do it over and over but wouldn't put the animals in her mouth. she would hand me the animal as we sang and wanted me to have them disappear. I didn't laminate the pieces yet (wanted to try them out on Clair first before I made them permanent, but because of that a few of the pieces have gotten a little wet from drool so I will have to reprint the characters.)
