We had a toddler halloween play date with a couple of Clair's friends. Not very many friends could come but is was still so much fun.
We started out the party by decorating sugar cookies with edible markers.

We played pin the nose on the pumpkin. When we told them that these pieces were the pumpkin's nose Clair attached it to her nose... her little friend tried to follow her example.

We also played a ghost hunt. (it is kind of like an Easter egg hunt but instead of eggs we hunted suckers that were turned into ghosts).

After the party Clair was very ready for a nap. So when she fell asleep my handsome man woke up to keep me company. He helped me clean up the party mess. He was being so adorable I couldn't resist taking pictures of him. Notice his cute little chubby belly poking out.

Today Jason carved our pumpkin so that we could cook our dinner in it. Clair didn't want to have anything to do with sticking her hands in the pumpkin and ignored Jason trying to coax her into trying it. Instead she carried around the spoons and sang to us.
Woops, I put these pictures out of order... oh, well :) Here is Caleb trying out the bouncer for the first time. He loved it! He got a little frustrated because our door ways aren't wide enough so he would hit the side every time he tried to move.

A little while later after Caleb had fallen back to sleep I heard a bunch of boom, boom, booms coming from upstairs. I ran to the stairs and found this...

Clair had found the box of hand-me-down shoes I had been going through and was throwing them down the stairs.
Today Jason and I was working on getting our pumpkin dinner ready. I turned around and found our princess like this. Oh, what fun little moments we have in life!

Here is our pumpkin as it came out of the oven. We didn't cook the rice long enough before so we ended up having to scoop out the broth and rice and boil it some more then dump it back in. We took out some of the liquid too because we didn't want soup. I highly recommend dinner in a pumpkin. It was surprisingly good and even Jason, who normally doesn't like squash commented that the pumpkin was really good.
