Month of May

I know this month is not over yet but I thought I'd write about what we've been up to lately anyway...

Jason-
working hard like usual. His big plans this summer are to do a marathon, a duathlon, and a triathlon... so he has been training a lot. He is such a wonderful husband I feel SO blessed to have him in my life! His birthday was on Friday and was able to get off work! We spent the whole day as a family and it was fabulous!

Jill-
I have been staying busy with the Clair. I have started a couple projects which I'll have to share pictures of as soon as I get them off my camera. I made a quiet book for a church activity for Clair. I have wanted to do one for a long time but sewing one intimidates me so instead I scrapbooked one. I have to admit I am REALLY proud of how it turned out and have more ideas coming of other ones I want to do for the car.

Clair-
Is 18months on Sunday! She is saying so many words and has surprised me by understaning so much more than I expect her to. I decided to start practicing giving her choices (she throws fits when she isn't given a choice or given warning of change...). I decided we all like being in charge of what we are doing and I feel so bad for poor little ones that just get picked up and made to do everything. So I started one day when she wanted to run across the street when it was time to go inside. I asked her if she wanted to walk to the house or have me carry her to the house. I'm not kidding my smart little girl looked at me, turned around and walked to the house! Ever since that experience life has been so much nicer. She has started imitating putting on make up after watching me and loves to sneak cereal out of the cupboard and feed it to my parent's dog. :) We love our Clair SO SO much!

Baby-
Seems to be doing awesome. Keeps mom up most of the night. I don't remember having as much trouble sleeping with Clair. I go in for my 36 week check up on Thursday and then get to start the weekly visits! I have been kind of hoping he comes early but knowing that it really is best that he comes on time. We are waiting to decide a name until he is born. We have a couple we really like and will do what we did with Clair and see which one seems to stick once he is here. We are really excited.

We are all doing great and enjoying every moment we can. The gospel is true!

It is good to hear that everything is going well for you guys! I would LOVE to see some pictures of the quiet book that you created! I have wanted to do one for Daniel, and I have several patterns of pages to make, but I still haven't done it. So, if you want to share, I would love to see! I love seeing Daniel grow up too, with the new words and understanding the things that you are saying to them. Tell Jason good luck with all of the training! We need to skype/talk again! Talk to you soon, Lindsey

Wow--you hope yours comes early and I pray mine comes late! I was going to say what day I'm due, but I remembered that we have the same exact due date, so you know when I'm due! I want to be settled after moving in and I want my Mom to be back in town from helping my brother before the baby comes, so I don't want an early surprise. Let's see if they'll be born on the same birthday, and wouldn't it be funny if we both picked out the same name as well?!?!
