Dinner Party

We have a couple friends who have been wanting to start a dinner group with themed get togethers.
We have done two now.  The first one was themed: Italian.  The main dish was lasagna made without dairy or gluten (so good!).
This second one we hosted at our home.  Theme: APPLES
It was a lot of fun with some really good food.
Apple stir fry over rice, apple pie, apple cheddar bread, and green salad with apples.
However, we have A LOT of kids between us... 10 kids and one family was missing!  It made it a little crazy and made me excited for one day having a dinner group like our parents who go for the evening to quietly visit and give presentations of different cultures.

The kids loved it though, and I am again so so so grateful for our apartment.  It is small for this type of thing but we were able to easily contain the kids in the kitchen with the food and put the adults in the living room where we were able to talk easier.  The kids made a mess but that was okay.  Then the kids were able to play with the toys in the other end of the living room and in the kids room while we finished talking :)
I am so grateful for good family friends.
