So we have been trying a new thing lately and it has been AWESOME!
what is it...?
Salad for Dinner
Every wednesday night we have a big bowl of greens on the table surrounded by a couple plates full of toppings. This night included raspberries, strawberries, peaches, apples, crazins, cauliflower, green pepper, carrots, celery, tomato, ham, cheese, boiled egg... yum!
Our rule is that you have to take at least one thing from every dish. So even Clair will manage to swallow some of the green leafy rabbit food :) In a couple weeks we will up the choice picking to two items on the plate. (right now Clair only picks strawberries, carrots, cheese, and eggs)
Caleb has actually surprised us and has really enjoyed the leafs dipped heavily in salad dressing.
The kids really get excited because this is the only time I make boiled eggs. I mostly forget that it is a good snack. Anyway it is a fun little tradition that I hope will help our kids get over their veggie fright.
Caleb is so cute and will take one of everything. After he eats most of it he will then decide what his favorite was and take the rest of that item on the serving plate.
my yummy plate... with everything on it :)
Clair happily eating her boiled egg.
